As Founder & Managing Principal of Patrick Advisory, he leads strategy, delivery, and key client relationships for payment-focused engagements.

David brings extensive experience in real-time payments, payment modernization, core banking transformation, and product strategy, having held senior roles across consulting, payment networks, and Canadian banking. His career includes 10+ years at Visa, 3+ years as Director of Real-time Payments at Canada’s payment and clearing systems organization, and 10 years in product management at a leading Canadian bank.

Previously a Canadian Payments Practice Leader at a global Big Four firm, David has led complex payments modernization initiatives across Canada and internationally. He is also an active thought leader, industry speaker, and contributor to payments industry research and reports, bringing strategic insight and practical expertise to the evolving payments ecosystem.

He is the author of the book ‘The Better Practices Guide to Change’ and is the Chair of the Canadian mirror committee for ISO TC68 on Financial Services that sets the ISO 20022 standards and others.

Emily is a Partner at RPY Innovations with a background in payments technology implementations as well as fraud/risk management and mitigation. Emily works with clients to analyze and mitigate systemic risk, build regulatory compliant operational workflows and occasionally dabbles in technical wizardry to pinpoint faulty payment integrations with punitive financial impact.

Prior to RPY, Emily was a technical product manager at a payment technology company serving the telecom vertical where she gained experience designing and implementing microservices and API integrations along with learning industry infrastructure like ISO 8385 parsing.

Emily serves as Co-Chair of the ETA Risk & Fraud Committee where she leads knowledge development conversations around topics like ethical hacking and transaction laundering. She is an ACAMS Certified AFC AML Auditor.
