What an incredible panel! It hit all the right notes on bank payment modernization. ACH, long the workhorse of payments, is overdue for a major upgrade, and it's clear that banks need to build scalable, secure, and real-time infrastructure to tap into the true power of ISO 20022 and beyond. Had a fantastic time kicking off Instant Payments Summit yesterday! It was a privilege to share diverse perspectives on the state of instant payments in the US, hurdles to adoption and potential tipping points. The conference may have been short, but it was power-packed—offering insightful discussions, valuable connections, and a great forum to engage with fellow practitioners and industry leaders.

It’s was great to be amongst some of the brightest minds in the payments industry! Thanks to my fellow panelists and moderators for a great session.

The 11th Instant Payments Summit, held on March 16-17, 2026, is in the memory books. A prominent theme that emerged was the necessity for increased education to ensure all stakeholders are aligned.
